Seasonal Beach Residence Centered on Family

S House by Romo Arquitectos was especially envisioned as a seasonal family beach house and is located within the Club Las Palmas, south of Lima, Peru. The solution provided by the architects is highly functional, offering much space without compromising in natural light and ventilation.

By employing materials such as wood, exposed concrete, polished concrete, terrazzo and mosaic, the modern residence gets a friendly, almost rustic welcoming touch. The distribution of social areas allows a large family to interact in different groups simultaneously because the spaces function semi-independently. A large  terrace connects the social and private volumes and offers a great spot to contemplate the scenery.

The house has a total of six bedrooms connected to a large central courtyard that concentrates the circulation core. The overall layout encourages interaction, as well as an optimum connection to the outdoors: “The front block works as a prelude to enter both the private area of the bedrooms and the terrace area on the second level. On the terrace area, the block towards the front, the open living room and the main dining room provide street views. On the back block, the pool area and barbecue sit on a more private location over the terrace, getting views of the sea and surroundings.” As you will look through the photos, you will encounter many design elements that stand out.
